Muay Thai &
Striking

Muay Thai is the national sport of Thailand and is also known as, “the Art of Eight Limbs” or “Thai boxing”. It has proven very effective outside the ring and been embraced enthusiastically by practitioners of a variety of self-defense, sporting, military and law enforcement activities. It has become world-renowned for its simplicity and effectiveness.

Muay Thai develops stand-up fighting skills from long-, short- and close ranges. With simple mechanics, even a small fighter can develop devastating power in their kicks. All “eight limbs” are utilized for striking –  fists, elbows, knees, and shins/feet. Clinching is allowed. This is a favored position of Thai fighters, used to control an opponent and strike with devastating knees and elbows at close range.
