Rolling Etiquette

~ Respect everyone. Start and End every roll with a slap bump or hand shake ~

TAP OUT (the safe method to signal your partner to stop the match and let go)

  • 3 ways to tap-out – Make sure your training partner is aware and responsive!
    • 3x distinct taps with your hand on the body that they can feel. (Preferred method)
    • 3x distinct stomps with your feet on the floor so they can hear it.
    • Yell or shout, “Tap!” so they can hear it.
  • Pay attention to your training partners tap and be ready to release immediately.
  • This is just training and not a life or death situation. Tap when you get caught!
  • No yanking or jerking submissions. You must be controlled with your movements.
